Tula's integrative approach focuses on healing our internal and external worlds. Our multi-faceted model takes a deep and sacred dive into ancient philosophy, the psycho-spiritual connection, trauma recovery, polyvagal theory, chronic pain and illness, addiction, sociocultural awareness, and much more. Our foundational and advanced trainings guide students on a journey of personal discovery and healing while developing them as impactful leaders ready to serve their communities. This powerful learning experience is an opportunity to build lifelong skills for personal and collective transformation while creating bonds with like minded humans that will last a lifetime. We create safe, educational, and empowering spaces built on the foundation of the Yamas & Niyamas of Yoga, where students enjoy a connective, compassionate and supportive learning experience.
The goal is not to memorize a sequence or to master the most challenging of postures but to become a skillful and confident leader who can guide a transformational experience that is safe, functional, and healing centered. The Tula faculty encourages trainees to "know the why" of everything they teach in a class setting. As we share the philosophy and spiritual teachings we are shining light on a practice that's purpose is to move from suffering to peace, from darkness to light. As we build a posture sequence we have the opportunity to create a container that supports healing, inside and out. A great yoga teacher provides a healing and purposeful experience that is free from one's own ego and honors the sacred heart of yoga.

The Tula faculty is committed to acknowledging the cultural appropriation, inequity, privilege, and the many traumas and injustices that exist within yoga. We recognize our role in actively doing our part to create more safety, justice and equity in yoga and in the world.

TULA YOGA + HEALING ARTS

The success of yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures, but how it positively changes the way we live our lives.

30 HOUR - TEACHING HEALING CENTERED YOGA - LEVEL I

TRAUMA INFORMED CEU COURSE FOR EXISTING YOGA TEACHERS

Yoga is a powerful healing modality, when taught and practiced with an awareness that is sensitive to the needs of all students, including those who have experienced traumatic stress.  A standard yoga class can be triggering and re-traumatizing for some, and so often this can be avoided by teachers having a solid knowledge-base of how trauma effects the body, mind and spiritual journey. In this continuing education course yoga teachers will gain the knowledge and skillset to teach yoga that restores a sense of safety in the body, that teaches self-regulation and resiliency, and provides the foundational awareness for working with populations at-risk due to the the effects of trauma. This training integrates research and evidence-based studies with yogic teaching applications that give teachers the necessary tools and awareness to instruct general population classes through a trauma informed lens. INSTRUCTOR: Catie Nawrocki

TESTIMONIALS

30AF26A1-1025-418B-BDDD-2A18D0959FAC_edi

I truly had a life changing experience with Catie. I learned so much through attention to yoga's philosophy and teachings, as well as the physical asanas and practice. I felt that I gained so many new friendships with the other women I took the course with, as well with Catie. She was always available for help and guidance. I also feel very confident in how prepared I am to start my teaching career and go out in the world to share all of the knowledge I have learned. I am forever grateful for this experience.  -Rachel H.

Yoga Teacher Training went above and beyond my expectations and I owe that to Catie. Catie is an embodiment of what yoga is and what it can be. She creates a space for everyone to find their own meaning of yoga and you have the opportunity to grow into that meaning along the way. By the end of the training, you will be able to create your own sequences, instruct with intention and safety considerations and provide a deeper experience by balancing the principles of yoga and your own personal strengths to the practice. If you are considering YTT for your own yoga practice, to start teaching yoga, or whatever your reasons are, I highly recommend taking your training with Catie! -Victoria A.
